The decorative thermometer is discovered by Galileo Galilei . The methode is : Each  liquid change the specific gravity by changing the temperature. If the temperature falls - gets colder - than the ball rises up and if the temperature gets hoter than the ball falls. The ball that is the lowest floating - at the upper part - shows the present temperature.
